Album Info:This album will feature photos taken by Ron Chouinard, David Telesha, and myself of the diamond located in Plainfield, Connecticut on the Providence and Worcester Railroad. The diamond served as the connection between the P&W Norwich Main and the Willimantic Branch. With the transportation of autoracks and doublestacks from the P&W to the NECR, and later VRS, CP, and CN, a new connection was needed to access the Willimantic Branch. On October 25, 2007 the diamond was removed, and the next day work began on a switch that connects the Norwich Main directly to the Willimantic Branch.
